Actual $4,000 Burial Insurance Quotes

Here you will see a listing of actual funeral insurance quotes from multiple highly rated providers. We need you to be aware of a few things as you browse these rates.

  1. All prices shown are for non tobacco users. If you have smoked cigarettes in any volume within the last 12 months, you will have to pay a higher premium with every company.
  2. All rates are consistent with an applicant who would say no to every health question with each of these companies.
  3. Every burial insurance company will determine your exact price by your exact age. You will notice that we didn’t list the rates for every single age. If we did, this would be extremely long. However, you can see a price for an age that is close to yours. This allows you to get a good estimate of what you would pay at your current age.
  4. These companies are just a handful of the many that we work with. Your best and cheapest plan may very well be with one of these companies. Then again, it may not.

Extremely Expensive Final Expense Companies To Avoid

This probably comes as no shock to you since the following statement applies to virtually every industry imaginable.

Not all final expense companies are created equally. Some are unnecessarily expensive relative to their competition.

While the forces of free market competition keep the prices with most final expense companies relatively close, there are a few out there that go way beyond reasonable pricing.

If you speak with these companies, they will quickly tell you stories to justify why their insurance is so much more costly than what other companies charge.

Just know this.

It’s all smoke and mirrors. There’s no reason to spend 15-40% more for a product for some intangible reason.

Below you will see the 3 biggest companies that are guilty of this practice. If you buy your final expense insurance from any of them, you are willfully overpaying for no apparent reason.

$4,000 Burial Insurance Quotes

This company is probably the most guilty of this practice. To give them credit, they are an extremely large player in the burial insurance business. They sell a lot of policies every year.

However, their level of production is not an indication of quality.

Here’s the bottom line

Their entire system is designed to benefit the agents and the company. The consumer is the last person they have built their system to benefit.

If you buy coverage through Lincoln heritage, you will pay roughly 15-100% more. The range is so wide because it depends on your health. In any case, whatever they offer you, some other reputable final expense company will for a A LOT less.

Why Are They So Costly?

If you ask them, they will tell you they are “moderately” higher priced for a few different reasons. Chief among them is a benefit you get when you buy their insurance.

When you buy final expense insurance from Lincoln Heritage, you get access to the Funeral Consumer Guardian Society. Basically, they say this service is designed to help you document your final wishes, help your family file the death claim, and negotiate prices on end of life services.

Here’s the thing

All of these “benefits” are free on your own. You can document your end of life wishes with a blank sheet of paper. You could also print out one of the hundreds of free funeral planning guides online. Heck if you really want one, we will email you one.

What about their negotiating services? There’s two issues with this benefit claim. First of all, they can’t and won’t provide you with any documentation the substantiate that any of their policyholders have ever saved anything from this service.

It’s very easy to say something. Heck we could say that when you buy final expense insurance from us that your cholesterol will go down. Just because we said it does not make it so. Without proof, its extremely lacking in believability.

The second issue with their negotiating service is the math. They claim they can save someone anywhere from $1500-$3000 on the cost of their funeral. While that sounds great (remember there is no proof), it still doesn’t make sense mathematically.

Remember, they are charging you a lot more money each month for their coverage. You could take that same amount and buy much more coverage with another company. You would easily end up getting more than $3,000 in additional coverage.

Would you rather have $3,000-$8,000 in additional coverage, or save $1500-$3000 on your funeral?

The math is clear.

Colonial Penn$4,000 Burial Insurance Quotes

Everyone knows them by their spokesperson Alex Trebek. They are one of the earliest insurance companies to get involved in the final expense life insurance business.

Here’s the bottom line about Colonial Penn.

They have only two final expense products they can offer you. Both of them are high priced.

This is crazy

The biggest issue with Colonial Penn is their underwriting. They have two policies. One has health questions and one does not. The one with health questions will not accept many of the most common health ailments present among the average burial insurance applicant.

For anyone who is not medically eligible for their policy that has underwriting, they then offer them their no health question policy. This policy is extremely expensive. It can be as much as 150% more costly compared to a plan with another company. Not to mention, it comes with a two year waiting period.

It does not matter if you qualify for their policy that has health questions or not. Both policies are much more expensive compared to what other companies charge.

How To Choose The Right Policy For YOU

Getting the right policy for your depends on a few different things. You want to consider the following when deciding how much coverage to buy.

  1. What kind of service would you like- traditional burial or cremation?
  2. What is your budget- how much can your comfortably afford each month for this coverage?
  3. Do you want to leave money to anyone?
  4. Do you have any other bills that will need to be paid upon your passing?

All of these things should be taken into consideration to help you determine how much coverage to buy.

Here’s the most important thing

You may do all the calculations and determine that you want $20,000 in protection. The key thing to focus on is your budget. If you cannot afford the monthly payment for the coverage you would like, you need to explore getting less coverage.

Final expense life insurance is no different than any other kind of insurance. If you stop making your car insurance payments, will you be covered? Nope.

The same is true with final expense coverage. This is why selecting a payment that comfortably fits in your budget is so critically important.
